AROUND THE WORLD IN A LIFETIME

Hello, my name is Katja !

 

"A stork brought me" to my wonderful parents, who also travel, in 1995. 

 

Every year since the age of 3,  they took me to a croatian island named Žut. At the age of 5 it was time for my first big trip with them. We spent a month in Australia. That year I also began my schooling a the local elementary school. 

 

During elementary school I visited: Italy, Belgium, Netherlands,  France, UK (Scotland), Russia, Morocco, Egypt, Austria, Estonia. In this period many things interested me. My hobbies included: french, reading, gymnastics, handball, cheerdance, skiing, music ... 

Music was my favourite so I continued my schooling at the high school of music. 

 

During high school I visited: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, UK (England), Canada and USA. Some of the countries I visited multiple times and some countries I did not mention because I just traveled through. 

 

After high school I did my first trip on my own. I went to explore the land of the rising sun- Japan, for a month with 2 friends. 

 

Now I study Japonology at the University of Ljubljana. 

 

I am very thankful for the opportunity to travel. With traveling I acquaired a lot of general knowledge. I have passion for other cultures, food and music. My goal in life is to visit every country in the world, discover hidden gems of the Earth and do stuff that make me happy.
